Minnesota Wild prospect Marco Rossi was one player who after getting COVID, missed an entire season trying to recover.
Brandon Sutter is another one of those instances. Sutter was drafted 11th overall to the Carolina Hurricanes back in 2007. He has played on 3 different teams over the course of his career, and is well known as a good bottom 6 two-way forward.
After playing 6 seasons with the Vancouver Canucks, he was unable to play last season after having some complications with COVID-19. Now apparently it's been reported that his career may be over because of it.
Sutter was on a one-year deal with an AAV of $1,125,000, but is currently a UFA. Ben Kuzma of 'The Province' spoke about the health of Sutter. Kuzma asked how Sutter's recovery was going and heres what we learned:
Sutter is still having trouble catching his breath and cannot train.
We hope that Sutter can make a full recovery and take another shot at continuing his NHL career, but first let's all hope he can get healthy again.
