Brendan Gallagher is just one of those names that feels like he has been around forever.
Drafted in 2010 by the Montreal Canadiens in the 5th round 147th overall, Gallagher made his NHL debut in the lockout shortened 2012-13 NHL season, scoring 15 goals and 28 points in 44 games.
Since then we've seen him play in 642 games all for the Habs, registering 194 goals and 381 points.
Not an overly big player, coming in at 5'9 and 186 pounds, but he is a pesky net front presence who likes to play in the dirty areas. One of those players that everyone would love to have on their team.
Recently during one of the 'player personality' episodes, Gallagher gave one of the most bizarre statements that anyone has ever heard on a live broadcast.
'I guess as a kid, I used to just like seeing people in pain. And I guess I used to run up to my grandpa every time and just punch him in the nuts.
