It's been a rough time recently for the franchise defenceman in Pittsburgh, Kris Letang.
Just recently he was sidelined for a few weeks due to a stroke, which was surprisingly the second of his career. He only missed two weeks though and returned skating on December 8th.
Unfortunately for him, things just got worse as well. The Penguins are currently taking on the Boston Bruins in the 2023 Winter Classic, but they are without Letang:
Kris Letang is officially out. His father died in the last 24 hours and Kris left the team to return to Montreal. He was not expected to play due to injury anyway.
