Tomorrow night the Vegas Golden Knights officially kick off the 2023 Stanley Cup playoffs against the Winnipeg Jets.
They rebounded from missing the playoffs last season to finish first in the Western Conference this season.
They did this all without their captain Mark Stone these past few months, who hasn't seen any game action since January 12th when he left the game after only 3 minutes with an injury.
We saw 2 seasons ago, the Tampa Bay Lightning wait until the season was over to activate Nikita Kucherov to the lineup after missing the entire season with an injury.
Today the Vegas Golden Knights officially announced that Mark Stone is suddenly healthy enough to play, and have activated him off LTIR:
There is no rules against what the Vegas Golden Knights have done, and honestly it's a brilliant strategy that every team wishes they could pull off.
