Anyone who has played minor hockey, has probably encountered a situation like this before where a referee has a little too much to drink before a game. But for everyone's safety, this is definitely not okay.
The video below features a females U16 game, where the referee came to the game after having quite a few too many.
You will see that he has drank so much that he cannot even bend over to pick up the puck, kicking it a few times and even falls over.
Refereeing is just like every job, you should show up to do your best at all times, not intoxicated.
