No matter how much they try to hide it, hockey isn't as big or as important in America as it is in Canada. This sentiment extends to ESPN, which has faced criticism in the past for prioritizing hockey the least.

Currently, ESPN is facing severe backlash from Ryan Whitney, a prominent figure on the podcast Spittin' Chiclets.

Whitney strongly expressed his disapproval of how the Golden Knights vs. Oilers games were handled by ESPN. He highlighted the issue of the games starting later or halfway through due to the network's preference to allocate prime TV times to baseball games.

"ESPN Doesn't Give A Flying F#ck About Hockey"

Whitney would come out and spit the truth saying,

ESPN doesn't give a flying f#ck about hockey on ESPN airing the Oilers vs Golden Knights games at 10 pm

MLB Blowout Over NHL Playoff Game

He's not the only one as Arizona Coyotes Troy Stecher shared on his Twitter:

"ESPN Missed three goals in the opening three minutes of a elimination game NHL playoff game because we had to finish out a 9-1 MLB blowout."

I think if ESPN can't or won't give the NHL and it's fans proper respect as they do other sports maybe they should hand over hockey to another Channel that will.
