Seattle Forward Pays The Price For Injuring Avalanche Veteran
Jordan Eberle got away with a dangerous hit last year in the playoffs. When the Kraken played the Avs in the first round, Eberle made a dangerous hit on Avalanche forward Andrew Cogliano. The hit fractured Cogliano's neck, forcing him to miss the rest of the playoffs. Tonight, Eberle paid the price.
O'Connor Makes Eberle Pay
Less than two minutes into the game tonight Avalanche forward Logon O'Connor challenged Jordan Eberle to a fight. Eberle obliged, perhaps as a recognition of his past wrong-doing.
Neither player is known as a fighter and as a result the ensuing fight was a big anticlimactic. O'Connor did land a couple of decent punches though. The officials had to step in quickly as Eberle fell to the ice with his jersey over his head.
