Brayden Point was able to make his return to the lineup last night for game 1 of the Stanley Cup playoffs since missing rounds 2 and 3 after being injured in game 7 against the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round. While Point started on the third line, he finished the game with 17:59 of ice time.
Lightning's head coach Jon Cooper said Point was 100% and ready to go last night, and with the minutes he played it seems that was true, he even recorded a point in his game back.
But the problem is Brayden Point was unavailable for any post-game interviews because he was receiving ''treatment'' for his leg.
Jon Cooper has not given an update yet but did the Lightning perhaps rush Point back into the lineup too quickly?
