After making it to the Stanley cup final last season Habs fans had so much hope for the future. Maybe believed that the Canadiens could take another run at #25 in Montreal. But the Canadiens had a monumental collapse aswell as the worse luck of any NHL team.
Losing Weber, Danault, Perry, Staal, Kotkaniemi, Tatar and others but most of all the Canadiens lost their franchise goaltender and the main reason they beat the Leafs, Jets and Golden Knights,
Carey Price. Carey Showed why he's been called the best goalie in the world.
This season losing Price to his substance abuse issues aswell as been dealing with Knee rehabilitation, Price hasn't been able to get back into the Habs lineup yet.
However Price is believed to be able to possible return to the Habs lineup for a game next week. But with the Canadiens 32nd in the NHL and Habs New GM Kent Hughes cleaning house to break down Marc Bergevin's mess and build something hopefully better, is this to show Price off to other team's?
There's no secret the Canadiens could have lost Carey Price to the Seattle kraken via expansion draft. Then there was the rumours that if Price was healed by trade deadline Hughes was going to ask Price to waive his no trade clause to go to a contender.
The question now with the Canadiens in rebuild mode, does Carey Price want to be part of that or go win that one trophy he should of won already by now. Price has nothing else to prove in Montreal he's the winningest goaltender in Montreal Canadiens history.
This move would free up $10,500,000 in cap space that could do wonders to the Canadiens in other spots heading into next season. So do you think Price will be back in Montreal next season Or moved in the summer?
