Seattle Kraken looking to steal free agent forward from the Leafs
The Seattle Kraken are looking to make a splash during the upcoming offseason and are targeting two free-agent forwards, one being from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Seattle Kraken are primed to make massive moves this offseason. With loads of cap space and a core in need of a star, the Kraken will look to the trade market and the free-agent market to bolster up for next season.
NHL insider David Pagnotta recently shared that the Kraken are going to be targeting two forwards, Anthony Duclair and Max Domi, to provide more scoring.
"A couple of players on Seattle's radar if they hit free agency in July are Max Domi and Anthony Duclair." - David Pagnotta
Duclair and Domi both performed well last year with Domi scoring nearly 50 points and Duclair scoring nearly at a point-per-game pace after getting traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning. With players like Matty Beniers and Jared McCann, the Kraken wants to surround them with more talent and those two could possibly be options.
The Leafs are working to extend Max Domi at the moment but if they cannot get something done before the free agency period, they will have to probably let him walk for more money from a team like Seattle.
