In the Penguins' organization, the future remains uncertain. After parting ways with Jake Guentzel, it seems like Kyle Dubas will pull all stops to get his team back on track. This led to major trade rumors for Sidney Crosby.

Many reports suggest that he's now very happy since Guentzel left. Could he be the next one to go?

For the second consecutive season, the Penguins will miss the playoffs. Crosby, 36, doesn't have much time left in his hockey career and if he wants to win a Stanley Cup, he has better chances elsewhere.

Two top teams were linked to the Penguins' captain: the Colorado Avalanche and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Both teams have high Stanley Cup aspirations. With Crosby, they would possibly separate themselves from the others.

The way we look at it, the Leafs are the most probable destination for him.

Marner, who's ten years younger than Crosby, could play a role in the team's future, whereas Crosby's impact would be only for a few seasons.
