BREAKING: Bad News For Team Canada As Top-10 Pick Sits Out With Injury
Team Canada has lost one of its best players as 2022 9th overall pick Matthew Savoie is held out of practice with an apparent injury.
Savoie Sits Out With Injury
Scout Scott Wheeler dropped some major news today as he revealed that Matthew Savoie is sitting out of Team Canada's practice today with an apparent injury.
No Matt Savoie (BUF) for Team Canada's practice today. He was also not made available last night. Might be nursing something.
Savoie was originally the 9th overall pick from the 2022 draft and is playing in his first U20 World Junior Championship for Team Canada. Through the first three games of the tournament, the forward has one assist. Which is tied for 3rd worst among forwards.
If Savoie has been struggling with an injury throughout the tournament, it could explain his lack of production. Hopefully he is able to recover and help Team Canada to their third consecutive gold medal.
