The OHL is investigating one of their top teams due to shocking allegations of bounty placing on opposing team's top players.

OHL Investigating The Sudbury Wolves On Allegations Of Bounty Placing

Sportsnet insider Jeff Marek just broke major news regarding the one of the top junior teams in all of Canada, the Sudbury Wolves.

OHL investigating Sudbury Wolves after bounty accusations.

The investigation stems from an incident where the Wolves went after a rival player for a hard hit on one of their star players. Afterward, they continued to target said player.

During a Sudbury/Barrie game on Jan. 18, Colts defenceman Kashawn Aitcheson delivered a hard, but legal, hit to Wolves forward Nathan Villeneuve. There was no penalty on the play. Aitcheson then fought one of Villeneuve's teammates, Nolan Collins.

The two teams played again three days later, but Barrie did not dress Aitcheson. According to those sources, word reached the Colts about the possibility of a bounty being placed on Aitcheson, so the organization made a decision not to play him.

The Wolves have not commented on the situation at hand but the allegations are shocking nonetheless.
