2021 first overall pick Owen Power may be available in a trade
The Buffalo Sabres need to do whatever it takes to make the playoffs seeing as it's been more than a decade, and Owen Power may be available to be traded.
An article recently written on OilersNation.com pointed out that according to insider Jeff Marek, Buffalo Sabres defenseman Owen Power has been in trade talks, as the Sabres need to do whatever they can to become and remain competitive.
«Everything's on the line in that [Sabres] organization. It's not exactly a secret the players feel that, the players know it, behind closed doors the players talk about it. Everybody knows what is at stake with the Buffalo Sabres. Dylan Cozens has had a really rough season. Jack Quinn has had a rough start as well. You guys were mentioning Bowen Byram, and he may just end up killing them in arbitration if he's still with the Sabres and it gets there. The name Owen Power has been whispered out there as well.»
Jeff Marek - OilersNation Marek mentioned that there has been interest from the Oilers, but they are very hesitant right now to make any moves because prices appear to be high around the league and they do not want to overpay.
The 22-year-old Power has three goals and 12 assists for 15 points in 22 games this season. In his NHL career, he has 15 goals and 71 assists for 86 points in 185 games.
Fans will be sure to keep following along with this story as it develops, and will be eager to see if the Sabres do actually end up trading Power, and what type of return they get, should a trade come to fruition.
