Connor Bedard is by far the best player on the Chicago Blackhawks this season. As is the case with most teams best player Bedard faces a lot of punishment through the course of a game as the other team tries to stop him. Bedard Shares His Thoughts On Teams Head Hunting Him
After the incident against the Avalanche, the media decided to talk to Connor Bedard about the physical style he has encountered from other teams. Bedard spoke about being targeted by other teams and seemed to not be as bothered as fans are.
Connor Bedard on opponents targeting him: «I don't think it's really been that crazy, to be honest with you. It's hockey. It's physical. If it does happen, just keep playing my game and I think sometimes that's nice, gets you in the game a bit.» #Blackhawks
Bedard gives a typical athlete response saying that the physicality is nothing crazy. He even goes on to admit that he enjoys being hit and roughed up during games. While this likely is not what Blackhawks fans want to hear it is good to know that Bedard can handle the physicality when called upon.
While Bedard has shown he can handle these moments of physicality it would be great for all hockey fans if he can stay healthy. Bedard is an elite talent and the more he can play and show that talent the better off the NHL will be.
