Mattias Ekholm destroys Mikko Rantanen in a devastating hit

The Edmonton Oilers recently played against the Colorado Avalanche, during the game, Ekholm delivered an insane hit against Rantanen, which resulted in an injury, forcing Rantanen to leave the game early. This injury could seriously impact the Avalanche, who have a serious shot at the upcoming playoffs.
At the beginning of the second period, Ekholm delivered a huge hit to Rantanen, who did not see it coming. Ekholm took advantage of the fact that his target was not paying attention, delivering a devastating hit, which left Rantanen down on the ice. He needed help from the referee and medic to leave the ice.
