Report confirms Adam Henrique chose the Oilers over the Tampa Bay Lightning
Today a new report from NHL insider Darren Dreger has confirmed that Adam Henrique turned down several other offers to return to the Edmonton Oilers.
The Edmonton Oilers made their way to the Stanley Cup Finals. After losing to the Florida Panthers the team seems to be loading up to run it back. Shortly into free agency, the Oilers re-signed forward Adam Henrique.
Henrique returns to Edmonton on two year deal at $3 mil per. He was offered more by other clubs. Edmonton circled back and closed.

The veteran forward was expected to have a large amount of teams looking into adding him to their organization. According to a new report, Adam Henrique turned down other lucrative offers to return back to the Oilers.
Adam Henrique denies the Tampa Bay Lightning in return to Edmonton
Darren Dreger revealed this afternoon that the Tampa Bay Lightning were one of the most interested teams in Adam Henrique. Lightning head coach Jon Cooper even tried to convince the veteran to sign.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have majorly overhauled their roster this offseason and could've used a depth center like Adam Henrique. Instead, he will return to Edmonton and be a third-line center behind Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.
