It is pretty commonplace for players to collect milestone pucks throughout their careers, celebrating big moments in their hockey lives by saving the puck that was part of the moment. For Chris Kreider, that was his 300th career NHL goal, a pretty big number for any NHL player to achieve.
However, after he scored and the puck was collected, the Arizona Coyotes challenged his goal, and it was overturned. This meant that Kreider hadn't actually reached 300 goals, making the puck worthless to him. So, in response, he hilariously threw the puck back onto the ice. Take a look.
I think everyone would have been all right if Kreider was a bit more upset that his milestone moment was overturned. Luckily, though, Krieder was able to score his true 300th goal later that night, one that would officially count.
Kreider and the New York Rangers are looking to make a statement in this year's playoffs, and are hoping to make a long push into the postseason, despite some in the media claiming they aren't the best in the league.. They will have to prove themselves after last season when they went down to the New Jersey Devils in a shocking first-round exit.
