Ilya Samsonov swears on national television after posting a shutout
Last night Ilya Samsonov posted a shutout and in a post-game interview, he got a bit rowdy by dropping the F-word on national television.
Ilya Samsonov had quite the night last night versus the Buffalo Sabres posting a 34-save shutout backstopping the Leafs to a 3-0 victory.
With goals from Auston Matthews, Nick Robertson, and John Tavares, the Leafs forwards were also quite stellar with defenseman Conor Timmins adding on a pair of assists.
In a post-game interview, Ilya Samsonov got a bit vulgar with this hilarious quote.
"I don't remember what I do here last time? Nine goals? F*** this s***. I feel good right now. That's a long time ago. I don't remember." - Ilya Samsonov.
For Samsonov to come back and have a near-polar opposite performance to his last game gives the Leafs faithful a lot to be excited for the upcoming Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Here is a compilation of some of Samsonov's best moments from last night.
Massive game last night from Ilya Samsonov.
32 Saves
3.14 goals Saved Above Expected.
Since Jan. 20th he has an 8.71 Goals Saved Above Expected. Good for 6th in the league. (Via NaturalStatrick)
It now appears to be a battle between Samsonov and Joseph Woll for the Leafs starter for game one of the Stanley Cup playoffs and the Leafs will need one to rise to the occasion for a potential Stanley Cup run.
