New York Rangers rookie Matt Rempe has been punished by head coach Peter Laviolette and will be a healthy scratch for game six tonight.

Matt Rempe has been quite the storyline in the playoffs thus far with the Rangers as he has laid some big hits and been an intimidation for the Rangers' opponents.

In game five, Rempe dressed for the Rangers and got into under three minutes of game time for a game that went to overtime that the Rangers ultimately lost.

Matt Rempe played 4 total shifts for a 2:43 TOI tonight, which I don't think I've ever seen for a player that didn't get injured.

His last shift of the game ended with 6:08 left in the SECOND period.

Now with game six tonight, Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette has made the decision to pull Rempe from the lineup for older forward Jonny Brodzinski.

Jonny Brodzinski for Matt Rempe looks like the lineup change for NYR. Brodzinski basically confirmed he's in. Rempe is still on the ice with the scratches.

With their season on the line, the Rangers will go for more veterans and look to fight the Panthers off to bring the series to seven games heading back to Madison Sqaure Garden.
