The New York Rangers have not been happy with the way GM Chris Drury has conducted business, and now they're reportedly looking to get rid of him.

Over the past few weeks, the New York Rangers have seemingly fallen apart completely, with the team going 3-10-0 in their last 13 games, and given the talent on the ice, it's almost hard to believe.

Now, we may know one of the reasons why their season has taken a major dip in production, as the team is reportedly furious with the way that GM Chris Drury has handled business.

According to NHL analyst Steve Dangle, the team had a players-only meeting to discuss how they can get rid of Drury, with the team having some huge issues with the way he has treated players in recent times.

"There was a players-only meeting and it was not to discuss Peter Laviolette...that relationship is fine...Their main gripe is Chris Drury...They want him to either change his ways or be gone."

Their biggest gripe was the way he handled the Barclay Goodrow departure, as Drury used waivers to get around his no-trade clause, and with a friend in the front office in San Jose, he instead waived Goodrow knowing that he would be claimed there.

Next up is the entire Jacob Trouba saga, with the team frustrated at the way this was all handled in the public eye, with these comments from Trouba reportedly reflecting the attitude of the entire locker room, according to Dangle.

"Don't like that it was made public necessarily, but I guess that's New York and how it happens. Made it kind of hard to play, but I'm excited to move forward. In my opinion, things could have been handled better. Not blaming anybody or anything, but it was just kind of an unfortunate end to my time in New York."

It's unclear at this point in time how the team could force the hand of team owner James Dolan, but given their production as of late, it wouldn't be shocking if some type of organizational shift happened in the coming weeks.
