The Philadelphia Flyers' season has concluded as the team slipped out of the playoffs in the final days of the regular season. Now the team is preparing for next year, but they will be without Dennis Gurianov and Marc Staal.

General manager Danny Briere revealed today that he does not expect either player to return to the team next season. In Staal's case, this is likely due to his age. The 37-year-old showed serious signs of decline this year, getting into just 34 games with the team. Gurianov on the other hand, got into just four games with the team after he was acquired in a trade from the Nashville Predators.

GM Danny Briere says to not expect Marc Staal or Denis Gurianov to be back next season.

Flyers fans seemingly could not care less about Gurianov leaving. After all, he played in just four games with the team and failed to record a single point. Staal however, has received a chorus of cheers from Flyers fans as they celebrate the fact that he won't be with the team anymore.

NO MORE MARC STAAL

Of course, the Flyers will also be missing a third player. Carter Hart, who left the team mid-season due to an ongoing legal battle, will almost certainly not be with the team. His departure left the team scrambling in net this season, ultimately leading to the team missing the playoffs. It will be interesting to see how the team rectifies this situation in the offseason as a good tandem could have the team in the playoffs again with relatively few changes to the rest of the roster.
