Gary Bettman is accused of giving an unfair disadvantage to the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Boston Bruins.

Indeed, Bettman is currently under fire for the management of the Toronto Maple Leafs' playoffs schedule, the hardest in the League.

The Leafs played the last game of their regular season on Wednesday and were back on the ice for playoff hockey on Saturday. They had two days between those games, while the other teams had more. The Bruins had one more day, while some teams haven't even played their first game yet. The Oilers, Golden Knights, Stars and Kings, will play their first game, two days after the Leafs played theirs.

With William Nylander's injury, the Leafs could've used a few extra days to recover. If he had more time to recover, he could've been a part of the first game, and the outcome could've been different for the Leafs.

"It doesn't take a genius to realize that the Oilers and Golden Knights starting the playoffs three days after the #MapleLeafs constitutes an unfair advantage. By then, William Nylander could have recovered, leading to a very different conversation."

"Meanwhile, it seems like Bettman is still showing preferential treatment to the Golden Knights, extending them an additional three days for their injured players to recuperate including their captain Mark Stone.

Intriguingly, the Leafs are set to play their second game before the Golden Knights even hit the ice for their first."
