William Nylander's health has been the top story in Toronto for the past few weeks, and now Sheldon Keefe has commented on the worrying situation.
Despite the mystery surrounding William Nylander, further details have been released in the past few days about the Maple Leafs star, with NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman providing a worrying update.
After missing the first three games of the series against the Boston Bruins, there's been concerns that Nylander's health issues may keep him out for the remainder of the playoffs. Now, Sportsnet's Luke Fox has an update from Head Coach Sheldon Keefe, who has addressed the increasingly worrying situation;
The more time, the better," coach Sheldon Keefe told reporters Thursday, as players on both sides were granted a day of rest.
"We've been working with Willy to give him the time that he needs to be ready to play."
The Maple Leafs trail 2-1 in a series against the very tough Boston Bruins, and if they give Nylander too much time, they may be eliminated, but given how important his health is, especially when dealing with head issues, it's always better to be safe than sorry.
