Vlad Namestnikov suffers horrifying injury after being hit by a puck
This afternoon the Winnipeg Jets took the ice looking to tie up their series against the Colorado Avalanche. The game got away from them and now one of the top players Vlad Namestnikov has suffered a terrible injury.
In the third period of the Jets and Avalanche game the Jets found themselves down 4-1. Trying to get themselves back in the game each player was doing anything they could to claw their way back. As part of this forward Vlad Namestnikov went to block a shot. Unfortunately when he blocked the shot he did so with his face causing a major injury.
Immediately upon being hit by the puck Vlad Namestnikov fell to the ice clutching his face. The training staff would come out with towels and try to stop the bleeding. Eventually, he would be helped off the ice and back to the locker room. The Jets terrible injury luck continues as both Vlad Namestnikov and Brenden Dillon have gone down.
Hopefully, there will be good news regarding the health and safety of Vlad Namestnikov coming soon. The Winnipeg Jets are in a must-win scenario and having him back would be a huge boost. As any updates are provided on Vlad Namestnikov's status we will pass them along to you.
