We are a few short weeks away from the start of the 2022-23 NHL season and the Arizona Coyotes are getting ready to play in their new arena, and to battle for last place is the league ... again.
The constant rebuilding has been hard on some players, and you can count their 2016 first round pick Jakob Chychrun as one of those people it's been hard on. Since he has been in the NHL, he has played in 337 games, and only 9 playoff games. He has been in the league for 6 years and has been in the playoff ones, and it seems he is tired of not being part of a contender.
All summer the rumours were flying about the Coyotes trading this star defenceman, and some of the teams that he was projected to go to were the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators, LA Kings and there were a few unnamed ones, but here we are, two weeks from the start of the season and he is still a Coyote.
According to Coyotes reporter Craig Morgan, it's clear that Chychrun wants to be traded to a cup contending team as soon as possible.
