Avs Enforcer Retaliates to Kraken Forward who Injured Artturi Lehkonen
Oleskiak Pays for Injuring Lehkonen Last Week
The Colorado Avalanche and the Seattle Kraken faced off for the first time since the unfortunate injury to Artturi Lehkonen of the Avs, and it was clear that retribution was on the horizon.
Just under a week ago, Lehkonen collided headfirst with the boards after a push from the Kraken's Jamie Oleksiak. Lehkonen will miss significant time.
Retribution From MacDermid
As soon as the puck dropped last night, Kurtis MacDermid went looking for Oleksiak, and he found him eventually.
Even if Colorado's coach Jared Bednar said he doesn't believe there was anything intentional on Oleksiak's part, players wanted to avenge their friend and teammate. Ultimately, they did it in the best possible way; winning 5-1.
