BREAKING: Flames Forward Abandons Team For Personal Reasons
In breaking news, this Calgary Flames forward has just left the team indefinitely for this surprising personal reason.
Dube Leaves Calgary Flames Indefinitely For Mental Health Reasons
The Calgary Flames took to social media today to announce that forward Dillon Dube would be taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team in order to attend to his mental health. No other details have been released, and there is no timeline for his future return to the team.
The Flames did state that Dube is under the care of health professionals at this time.
"Dillon Dube has been granted an indefinite leave of absence from the team while he attends to his mental health. Dillon is under the care of health professionals, and we request that Dillon's privacy be respected during this period."
This is very unfortunate news for Dube, who has appeared in 43 games for the Flames this season, tallying 7 points. This has been a difficult year for him, as last season he put up 45 points.
We wish Dube the best on his path back to the NHL and the Calgary Flames.
