BREAKING: Gary Bettman Sets An American Sporting Record
The NHL's commissioner Gary Bettman may be one of the most controversial figures in the hockey world. However, he's still getting a lot of recognition from institutions after a long career in the league.
Bettman Breaks Record After More than 30 Years in the NHL
A new report shared on X revealed that Saturday January 27th is Bettman's 11,318th day as the NHL's commissioner. This makes him the longest-serving leader in all the major leagues, including the MLB, NFL and NBA.
"January 27 marks the 11,318th day that Gary Bettman has been the commissioner of the NHL, which makes him the longest-serving leader of any major league, including the NFL, MLB or the NBA."
While many believe that he's outdated and doesn't understand the modern issues in our society let's not forget all he did for the sport in the last 30 years.
More to come.
