We recently saw Philadelphia Flyers prospect Ivan Fedotov be arrested due to trying to come play in the NHL and not serve his time in the military. Fedotov was reportedly poisoned and sent to the hospital, and is now heading to a military base in the arctic. His agent said he was given injections that he was not aware of, which made his vision blurry.

The Police were outside of the hospital making sure he didn't leave. Which then the Russian military picked him up and brought him to a military camp.

Now we are learning that the new Russian NHL star Kirill Kaprizov, might be forced to do the same.

In Kaprizov's second NHL season, he scored a career high 47 goals and 108 points in 81 games. Last offseason he shocked the hockey world when he demanded $9,000,000+ after his rookie season where he scored 51 points in 54 games. But after his second season, he definitely made his new contract worth it. He signed a 5 year deal with an AAV of $9,000,000.

But we might not be able to see this superstar play next season, or going forward as he might be called into military service.

Russian striker "Minnesota" and NHL star Kirill Kaprizov is also wanted in the case of buying a military ID. According to the security forces, on June 26, Kaprizov returned to Russia. Kaprizov, together with Fedotov, played in Salavat in 2017. It was then, according to investigators, that they "disturbed" the military for themselves. Whether Kaprizov will return back to the NHL is now a big question. And there he has a five-year contract with a salary of $ 9 million a year. (By the way, a conscript in the Russian army has a salary of 2-3k per month) Kirill is a graduate of Novokuznetsk hockey. Olympic champion of the games in Pyeongchang 2018. Winner of the Gagarin Cup (2019). 2021 Calder Trophy winner for NHL Rookie of the Year.
