BREAKING: Leafs Have Hired Former Rival GM
Since the Maple Leafs fired Kyle Dubas, there has been lots of speculation about who will be the next GM. The Maple Leafs wanted somebody experienced and they certainly got somebody experienced.
NHL insider Darren Drager revealed who the Leafs new GM is:
This is huge considering how Treliving was the hottest commodity on the GM market and the one with the best resume.
Having held down a position in Calgary for nearly a decade, Treliving is the best thing the Leafs could have had. He has valuable experience with star players leaving and if he gets the sense any of the Leafs core four is not staying, he will not be afraid to pull the trigger on a blockbuster.
