We are very happy to announce that Patrice Bergeron will be returning to the Boston Bruins for another season.
At the end of last season many wondered if Patrice would finish his career in Montreal, return to the Bruins or just retire.
Bergeron had offseason surgery after the Bruins lost in the playoffs and the 37 year old was considering hanging up the skates for good.
Bergeron won 5th and record setting Selke trophy last season as the leagues best defenceman and put up 25 goals and 65 points in 73 games. He still has a lot to offer and some magic left in the tank.
The Bruins have signed him to a one-year contract worth $2.5 million along with an additional $2.5 million in performance-based incentives.
