BREAKING: New York Rangers Star Injured And Helped Off Ice
One of the New York Rangers' star players has been injured in a scrimmage causing worry amongst the fandom.
Zibanejad Injured
The New York Rangers have begun practicing and as play picks up for the season, so will physicality. One of the players caught up in the physicality was Rangers star Mika Zibanejad.
Oh, boy. Not sure exactly how it happened, but they just had to stop play because Mika Zibanejad was hunched over in pain. Looked like he was favoring his right arm and went to the bench very gingerly. #NYR
Zibanejad was reportedly hurt after a collision behind the play at center ice and was down until the play was called dead. Rangers coach Peter Laviolette confirmed that the injury was a day-to-day matter but we cannot rule out the possibility of this being more serious than they currently believe.
Laviolette says Zibanejad has an upper-body injury, day-to-day #NYR
We will now wait and see how long Zibanejad will be out but it is certain that Rangers fans have their fingers crossed that it is not too long.
