BREAKING: Phil Kessel's Next Team Is Likely Known
Phil Kessel remains unsigned but has already started to practice with an NHL team.
Kessel Spotted Training In Vegas
At this stage of the offseason, most NHLers are under contract and gearing up for the next season. Phil Kessel is not like most NHLers. He currently remains unsigned but he was spotted training ahead of the next season.
"Phil Kessel was on the ice getting work in and having fun with his former teammates. Speculation has started to emerge as the Minnesota Wild as a possible landing spot for the NHL's Ironman. Kessel was in great spirits and it was nice to see the band back together possibly for one last time." - Chris Gawlik of Vegas Hockey Now
Kessel training with the Vegas Golden Knights could be one of two things. First, he is training with the team he will be playing with next season and getting ready for another cup run. Second, he could be getting in shape for the upcoming season and is just training with his former teammates.
Nonetheless, Kessel will be receiving a contract in the coming weeks and will likely wind up playing for a playoff team.
