Seattle Kraken prospect Shane Wright has had a turbulent beginning to his NHL career. Today another valley in his path to being an NHL player has come.
Terrible News Confirmed For Wright
After starting the year off strong in the AHL Shane Wright was given a promotion to Seattle where he finally would be looking to make an impact. Unfortunately, today it was confirmed that Wright's latest NHL stint is coming to an end.
#SEAKraken have sent down Shane Wright to Coachella Valley (AHL).
Wright was given three NHL appearances in this latest NHL stint. He was held without a point while playing roughly 10 minutes a night. It is clear that Wright is a talented player from his showings in the AHL.
However, currently, there is just not a spot for him at the NHL level in Seattle. With another strong stint in Coachella Valley Wright could possibly earn another call-up that features more significant ice time.
