Bertuzzi Signs New Contract.
Catching a Big Fish
The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed one of the biggest remaining free agents.
Tyler Bertuzzi, who spent the latter part of this past season with the Boston Bruins, is coming to Toronto on a one-year deal worth $5.5 million AAV.
In Bertuzzi, the Leafs bolster a forward group that partially makes up for the departure of free agent Ryan O'Reilly to the Nashville Predators. According to Frank Seravalli, the Leafs had made an initial pitch to Bertuzzi yesterday prior to signing him.
