Yesterday the Atheltic's Adrian Dater broke the news that Nazem Kadri was talking a lot with the Colorado Avalanche again regarding a contract. He stated that the likelihood of Kadri returning to the Avalanche was increasing by the day.
But now we are hearing from Dater that a Canadian team has entered the conversation for Nazem Kadri and they're extremely interested in his services.
Calgary going hard on Kadri now.
This is a bit of a surprise because while he was a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs, he declined a trade to the Calgary Flames. But since leaving the Maple Leafs, the Calgary Flames have gotten a lot better as a franchise, and with the departure of Johnny Gaudreau, the Flames have a lot of money to burn and a lot of skill to replace if they want to remain a contender in the West.
If Kadri would join the Flames, goaltenders are going to need to lookout for a line of Matthew Tkachuk and Nazem Kadri. Not only will they beat you on the scoreboard but they will beat you physically as well!
