The Montreal Canadiens are actively seeking a successor to Carey Price, who holds the record for the most wins by a goaltender in the franchise's history. Price has been on long-term injured reserve since the end of the 2021 Stanley Cup final.
Price has been dealing with knee issues that ultimately ended his playing career, but there's been alot of speculation about what Price could do next. He played only three games in 2022 and since been on long-term injured reserve.
Numerous rumors have suggested that Price might transition to a new role as the Canadiens' goaltending coach, Something Price would no doubt flourish at.
Now the news broke that Price has recently been working with former Canadiens teammate goaltender Samuel Montembeault. Price has won numerous gold medals representing team Canada, he's the perfect choice to help Montembeault prepare for the World Hockey Championships.

This will no doubt heat up the rumor scene that Price will likely join the Canadiens coaching staff. I think it could do wonders for Montembeault and other Canadiens goaltenders in the system.
