A GOAT in the Making?
There's nothing we can say about Connor Bedard that hasn't already been said just let his puck skills do the talking.
Based on recent video footage, he's been showing them during the offseason, as well. This year's first overall pick by the Chicago Blackhawks was filmed playing against other prospects and current NHLers in a 13-and-a-half minute video, making it clear why he deserves the title of a generational talent.
Generational for a Reason
Bedard's insane speed, stickhandling and ability with the puck are seen throughout the video. More impressive still is the fact that we see him do it against older guys, including some already in the NHL, e.g. Kent Johnson and Vasily Podkolzin.
Though we don't know how much better the Blackhawks will be compared to last year, Bedard is unquestionably the centrepiece of the franchise going forward, and he'll be must-see TV once he finally laces up for an NHL regular season game this fall.
