Connor Bedard has been sidelined for a few weeks now, after getting a jaw surgery. While he hasn't missed a lot of time yet, his absence lays heavily on the Blackhawks, who have hit a new low in the history of their franchise.

Blackhawks Hit New Low in Franchise History

Over the weekend, the Blackhawks played against the Flames in Calgary and they ended up losing the game 1-0. This was their 20th consecutive loss on the road.

You read well, the Blackhawks haven't won on the road since November 9th in Tampa Bay.

Forward MacKenzie Entwistle shared his thoughts about that tough situation:

"When you put it that way, all the way back to Tampa, that's a long time ago. The most frustrating part is we're in these games and we just can't find a way to finish and get the job done."

They had many occasions to break that sequence, but they consistently blew it.

There's another alarming fact: they've been outscored 86-29 on those 20 games.

We don't often see streaks that are that bad in modern NHL. In fact, the Blackhawks are the first team in 30 years to lost 20 consecutive away games

The Blackhawks' next away game will be on February 19th, in Carolina. If they end up losing, they'll need to wait until March before trying again. Fortunately for the team, they play most of their games this month at home.

As seen on Chicago Sun - Blackhawks' 20-game road losing streak is unprecedented in recent NHL history
