The Florida Panthers shocked everybody when they prevailed past the Boston Bruins. They've now shocked Leafs fans with a major new rule.

Panthers Block Leafs Fans and Canadians From Buying Tickets

The logic is obvious... Buying a single ticket at Scotiabank Arena costs upwards of $1000. Buying roundtrip flights, a hotel, and seats in the lower bowl at FLA Live Arena costs about $800.

Thus, it would make sense that Leafs fans would be flocking to Fort Lauderdale to watch their favourites play.

Unfortunately, the Panthers had quite a bit of foresight, and opted to block Canadians and Leafs fans from buying tickets.

"FLA Live Arena is located in Sunrise, Florida. Sales to this event will be restricted to residents of the United States. Residency will be based on credit card billing address. Orders by residents outside of the United States will be canceled without notice and refunds given."

Leafs fans are very pissed that the Panthers blocked their lucrative loophole (the nicer weather doesn't hurt either!), but hopefully Panthers fans will flock the stands to cheer on their cinderella story team.

If the Bruins were any example, it's entirely possible this series goes to seven. At least the Leafs will get four home games!
