Dirty Junior Player Knocks Out An Opposing Goaltender With An Illegal UFC Move
A major incident unfolded in a third-tier junior league yesterday.
Junior Player Knocks Out Goalie With Illegal UFC Move
At the end of the game, with only a few minutes remaining on the clock, player Eithan Grishin made a very questionnable move on an opponent that made him unconscious.
He literally pulled off a UFC move on the ice and there's been no update about the goalie except that he is recovering at home.
The League also released no statement whatsoever.
Check out how it went down:
"@ThePJHL @RSockeyes player Eithan Grishin chokes a goalie unconscious, holding a guillotine choke longer than you'll ever see in a sanctioned UFC fight 😳 no statement from the league or team, only from @NVanWolfPack stating the goalie is recovering at home."
The most worrying thing about all this is that the player could end up with no consequences for that terrible move.
If the league doesn't release something soon about the incident, we'll guess that it's because they decided to not punish the player, and that would be a mistake.
