Today a fight between two modern-day enforcers broke out during the Florida Panthers and Vegas Golden Knights game. The fight ended in an underwhelming one-punch knockout.

During a Stanley Cup rematch tempers reached a fever pitch and ultimately boiled over. Vegas Golden Knights enforcer Keegan Kolesar found himself in a scrap with Florida Panthers tough guy Ryan Lomberg. The fight did not end the way Kolesar would have hoped.

The Panthers hoped the fight would swing momentum in their favor for the rest of the game and as of now it has done just that.

Panthers Surge Ahead In Stanley Cup Revenge Game

When the fight occurred the game was still deadlocked at zero. Shortly after the Golden Knights would take a lead thanks to Mark Stone. Florida would respond with two goals and take a 2-1 lead. Young forward Pavel Dorofeyev stepped up and tied the game back up at 2.

Then in a turning point of the game, the Panthers would score two goals in just over 2 minutes. Panthers forward Sam Reinhart continued his torrid start to the season with his 19th goal of the season. Carter Verhaeghe also added a goal and the Panthers now find themselves up by 2 halfway through the third period.

The Panthers look like they are on their way to a small piece of revenge partly thanks to a big fight win from Ryan Lomberg.
