Fans Turning on the San Jose Sharks After Being Caught in a Social Media Controversy
As the IIHF World Championships are underway, we are starting to see some true colors show.
The San Jose Sharks did such by cheering for both the USA and Germany in the quarter-finals today.
While this is hilarious, to begin with, it actually makes a lot of sense for the Sharks. They have two players in this game, one for each team. Henry Thrun is blue lining for the USA while Nico Sturm is one of the top players on the German team.
The Sharks could have worded this a tad better by saying "Go Nico" and "Go Henry" showing that they're cheering for individual players rather than teams. While it is funny, it has left many confused as to what their motive is and a bit of digging shows exactly what the motive is.
