Former NHL Referee Taunts Auston Matthews
Disgraced former NHL referee, Tim Peel, has some shocking words regarding the Leafs and Auston Matthews. Read more to hear about all of the drama!
Tim Peel's Shocking Takes
After the Toronto Maple Leafs loss to the Florida Panthers in game 5 last night, former NHL referee Tim Peel had some words regarding Auston Matthews.
In the first of two tweets, Peel fired shots at Matthews and the Leafs suggesting they will not win a cup with the current core.
In the other tweet, Peel fired shots at Matthews while also misspelling his name and making a mockery of himself in the process.
Obviously, it stings to have the Leafs lose in the 2nd round but there are a lot of positive takeaways from this playoff run. With a figure like Peel, who has a lot of drama surrounding himself almost at all times, calling out the former MVP, it makes one wonder if he is saying this because he believes it or just because it will get a lot of people angry.
At the end of the day, Matthews gets the last laugh because hea still making $11.6M a year!
