Last night, Connor Bedard did the unthinkable when he scored the first lacrosse goal of his NHL career.
A little bit later, Trevor Zegras scored a lacrosse goal of his own making history as the first duo to score a lacrosse goal on the same night.
They are two of just five players to score a lacrosse goal in the NHL and two of the most skilled players in all of the league.
While this is fun for the majority of fans, one former enforcer, Jay Rosehill, called Bedard and Zegras out claiming that the move would be banned very soon.
Rosehill played in 117 career NHL games with the Maple Leafs and the Flyers racking up a chocking 352 career PIMs. While he may have not been the most skilled player, he knows some inner circles in the NHL and may be hearing chatter that the league does not like the move.
Whether that is the case or not, the one thing that is for certain is that the move gets more eyes on the NHL and hockey in general which cannot possibly be a bad thing for the sport.
