The Edmonton Oil King announced that former Captain Matt Swaby. The former Oil King Captain was 34 years old and Friends and Family are hoping to raise money for his wife and kids.
Swaby played 3 seasons with the Tri-City Americans before being traded to the Oil King. Swaby went on to play 3 seasons with the University of Saskatchewan before retiring from hockey.
There are few details at this time other than it is listed as a "tragic farming accident". Anyone interested in helping can donate at the link above.
Our thoughts are with the Swaby family in this time of need.
