Over these last few years, young players are becoming a lot more outspoken and demanding in the league. The NHL used to be a league where the younger players were quiet, they'd take bridge 'show-me' contracts and when they gained more experience would take that big contract and get more vocal with the media.
Now it seems players look for that big contract right out of the gate and are quite demanding.
That was the case with New York Rangers former first round pick, selected 9th overall back in 2018, when he did not like the way he was being treated in the Rangers organization.
Vitali Kravtsov is an unbelieveable talent, but hadn't proved anything in the NHL yet. Due to the depth in the Rangers organization, Kravtsov has only played in 20 games, and had recorded 4 points. Last season Kravtsov requested a trade out of New York after his lack of time with the big club, and decided it was best if he went back and played in Russia.
In 19 games in the KHL last season, Kravtsov recorded 6 goals and 13 points.
The 22-year old realizes he made a mistake with how he acted and is coming back this season looking to make a difference:
I've definitely made a lot of noise in the past, so it's necessary to redeem myself a little bit.
