The NHL trade deadline is always a fun time for hockey fans wondering what trades could possibly happen.

Sometimes, though there's trades that are in the works that don't come to futrition for whatever reason. This includes a trade that would of possibly changed a team's direction if it happend.

That trade was between the Los Angeles Kings, and Nashville Predators. The Kings were trying to acquire Nashville Predators star goaltender Juuse Saros but as David Pagnotta explained fell through last minute.

The Kings/Predators had discussed a trade involving goalie Juuse Saros during the season, prior to LA landing Korpisalo/Gavrikov. A package involved multiple 1sts/prospects. I'm curious if LA revisits these talks this month or if that ship has sailed.

Unfortunately for the Kings that trade didn't happen instead acquiring Joonas Korpisalo and Vladislav Gavrikov from the Columbus Blue Jackets instead.

Pagnotta says that the potential trade would have included multiple first rounds picks plus prospects.

On June 6th, the Kings traded mercurial goaltender Cal Peterson to the Philadelphia Flyers, leaving a vacancy in net.

Pagnotta speculates that this trade may lead the Kings to consider re-opening negotiations for the All-Star Saros.
