MAJOR: Elliotte Friedman Links Patrick Kane to a Team Nobody Expected
Patrick Kane's recovery is going great, as you can see in a video released by his agency:
Ever since he announced that he would wait until he's completely healed before joining a new team, rumors about possible destinations have been circulating.
Buffalo and Toronto seemed to be the top contenders to land him, but insider Elliotte Friedman shared that a new team could be in the derby.
Kane to Join a Surprising Team Once He's Recovered?
Two other teams were linked to Kane, and it took us by surprise.
Here's what Friedman said that ignited the web:
"I know there's been reports about Detroit. I really wonder about Buffalo. I also wonder about Florida. That seems like the kind of gamble Bill Zito would like to make."
The two scenarios would drastically change the teams:
In Detroit, alongside former teammate Alex DeBrincat, Kane would make the Red Wings even more dangerous on the power play.
On the other hand, with Kane, Florida would solidify its spot among the best top-six in the NHL.
Wherever Kane ends up, he'll be a game-changer, and we can't wait to see what he decides.
